To turn our Hall’s Lounge/Bar into a coffee shop meant we had work to do!
More electrical outlets and lights…
So here is Dave Goodall helping us with the wiring! |
|
Having finished the wiring, Andy Kemp then volunteered to help us with the plastering!
And here it is with lots of new sockets and ready to be painted! |
More shelves for cups, mugs and plates…
We had planned to buy Odeche timber but then Ian Gibson volunteered to supply Oak from a Thedden tree…. all we had to do was prepare it…
First we had to move the 5 meter (!) ‘planks’ from where they had been stored and seasoned… thanks Ed Neish!
Then just cut them into the sizes we need…
Then put them through Ian Gibson’s miracle planer to turn them into the same thickness…. (many, many times!!!!)
And the onto sanding… well maybe after a tea / coffee break!
Making the frame for the big screen in the entrance hall… |
