Dr Jane Freeman-Hunt |
I have had three distinct careers – variety being the spice of life! I started as a teacher. I moved into IT, taking various roles in large corporations. Then I retrained as a psychologist, and I have worked as an executive and neurodiversity coach for the last 15 years. I lived in Beech for 10 years and have played an active role in the village, firstly with the Social Committee and, since Autumn 2019, as Chair of the BVH Management Committee. |

I am a lifelong sailor and diver who had to do some stuffy things to pay for it all. So, I obtained an accounting qualification, and management and boardroom experience with big and small companies. Now nearly retired, I have worked on Beech Village Hall’s Management Committee since 2011, serving as Chairman for eight years, and I became Treasurer in 2019. |
Kim Eakers Trustee and Bookings Manager |
I worked for a US multinational in the IT industry for nearly 40 years, running technical teams around the world. I developed a passion for technology and different cultures and an aversion to flying economy class. My family criticize my attention to detail and love of spreadsheets! When not poring over policy documents, I love to cycle, dog walk and garden, but not at the same time. |

I moved to Beech with my husband in October 2020. Upon arrival I was made to feel very welcome by neighbours and members of the wider community, and I have really enjoyed getting involved in all aspects of life in the village. I joined the Beech Village Hall Social Committee in 2021 and have helped the team to organise and run many social activities throughout this time, including monthly socials, themed events and the weekly coffee shop. Now retired from a 30-year career in education, I have more time to pursue my hobbies including walking, cycling, gardening and enjoying time with my children and grandchildren. You will often see me out walking or cycling in the locality, enjoying its beauty and diversity. I feel very privileged to live in this part of the country. |

I moved to Beech from Surrey in July 2022 with my family and we love living here because of the lovely environment and, of course, all of the people. I’m a project manager by trade, and am always keen to help local projects and get involved in community life. You can find me at the cafe most Fridays, as I do love a good cake! |

An aviation and flying nut since my youth, I spent the first half of my career as a business journalist and editor in the aviation industry. After that, in search of a new challenge and a bigger salary, I moved to a large US corporation, where I did a series of marketing and communications jobs. I took on responsibility for marketing and communications for Beech Village Hall in Summer 2020. I also do the production work for Beech News. |

After 25 years living and working in London, I returned to my Altonian roots, settling in Beech with my family in 1999. If you’ve lived in the village for any time, you’ve probably spotted me as that crazy woman running the local byways in all-weather as I trained for yet another marathon. My career journey has been varied. It includes a long stint in travel industry sales and marketing, which involved plenty of globetrotting. In more recent years, I worked more locally as a clinical hypnotherapist and EMDR practitioner. I joined the Social Committee in early 2024 and have enjoyed working alongside my fellow team members on our various social events. I am really pleased that we have been able to launch our monthly film nights at the Screen by the Green and look forward to participating in further community initiatives. |
