Shop fitting…. Phase 2

September 4, 2021

We need more signs!

Once the paint was dry time to put up the new signs…

A big chalkboard so we can describe our home cakes!

A new digital sign to show our prices

And a small whiteboard to help our baristas keep track of orders

And at last on Wednesday 8th September we have the new oak shelves and monitor surrounds installed! Well done Ed Neish and Ian Gibson!

And then a big sandwich board (than you Mr Nick Sorby!)

We need chairs!

We decided to have a mixture of chairs. So tub chairs for more comfortable seating and bistro chairs to enable people to move them round.

We tried to save money by buying them second hand…. a lot of fun getting them shipped from the north and then the bistro chairs did need a bit of clean… thank you Janet!!!!

And a coffee machine…

This was a BIG decision…. which coffee machine should we have?

We wrestled with conflicting requirements…. ease of use vs quality of output vs speed and cost… we knew we wanted high quality but we also needed any of our volunteers to be able to operate it… we settled on this ‘little beauty’ the Sage Oracle Touch and thanks to Mr Phil Bennett we managed to get a great deal on it!
