It’s 1942 and Richard Jenkins is at school in Port Talbot, caught between an alcoholic father, a devastating war, and his own ambitions. But as the acting world beckons, the burden of his past threatens to hold him back forever. 

This gripping account reveals the backstory of one of Wales’s greatest actors and the teacher who transformed his life. Harry Lawtey delivers an impressive performance, capturing Burton’s trademark confidence while showing the bottled-up trauma beneath.
