The popular Beech Bonfire Night celebration returns on November 7! Be a wise owl and book your early-bird tickets early!
This is a magical event that attracts hundreds of people of all ages. A torchlight procession through the village. A proper bonfire. Fireworks worth craning your neck for. Plus a BBQ and bar to keep you warm and toasty.
What’s more, we’ve managed to hold early-bird prices at last year’s rates – and every ticket, torch and burger sold helps keep the lights on at the Village Hall throughout the rest of the year.
Book by Saturday 31 October and you’ll pay:
• Adults £8
• Children (5–15) £4
• Infants (0–4) free
From 1 November, it’s £11 for adults and £5.50 for children (5–15).
You can, of course, wait and pay on the night – at the Village Hall between 5pm and 5.30pm, or on the Rec from 5.30pm onwards. But booking early saves you over 25%. It also makes a real difference this end, since we order food and plan the evening based on those advance numbers.
How the evening runs:
5pm: We will meet at Beech Village Hall. Buy your ticket if you haven’t done so already (card payments preferred) and collect your wristband. Buy your wax torch for the torchlight procession – for safety reasons, you must purchase before the procession leaves…
5.30pm: We will set off for the torch-light procession to the Recreation Ground
6.00 pm: The bonfire will be lit.
6.30pm: Enjoy the spectacular fireworks show. (Pet owners please note that the fireworks will last for 15-20 minutes.)
Food and drink will be available for purchase on the Rec (card payments preferred): Burgers and sausages in buns (with vegetarian option). Mulled wine, beer, white wine, soft drinks.
Weather warning: We can’t guarantee good weather, and the path up to the recreation ground can be slippery, so please dress appropriately! If we have to cancel for high winds or torrential rain, you’ll get a full refund via TicketSource.
Safety notice: Please follow the marshallers’ instructions. We regret that sparklers will not be permitted.
