Share the light this December: an intimate evening of contemporary folk
The Guardian calls Salt House “a gentle, lulling delight”. The Scotsman gives them five stars. On Sunday 6 December the trio bring their Share the Light winter tour to Beech for just 65 of us. Tickets are £16.50 until 15 November. Our last gig left people on a very long waitlist, so do book early.
Music this good, this close, doesn’t come round often.
Salt House
Salt House have been a mainstay on the folk scene for over a decade, known as thoughtful, innovative interpreters of both ancient ballads and contemporary songs. Five studio albums with Hudson Records and extensive touring across the UK and Europe. FolkNotes calls them “the most human and gentle music you could imagine” and gave their latest album Scarrow 10/10.
Ewan MacPherson, Jenny Sturgeon and Anna Hughes sing together and play guitars, fiddle, viola, keys and harmonium, a sound shaped by the landscapes of the Scottish Highlands, Northumberland and Shetland, their respective homes.
New songs that sound like they’ve always been here, ancient ballads woken up. Poems given melodies they’ve long deserved.
Three voices. One small room. You won’t miss a note.
Bookings open on 20 September. £16.50 until 15 November, £18.50 from 16 November, subject to availability. The last gig sold out. This one will too.
Just 65 tickets. Join the waitlist if sold out; we’ll notify you immediately if tickets become available.
