Beech village hall goes virtual

January 22, 2021

In the past when someone wanted to book the village hall they would normally phone to arrange to come and see it first. Much like buying a house you would want to look around before buying! But the lockdown has made that harder and many of our younger potential hirers expect to use social media tools to help them make these types of decisions. Increasingly people expect to explore on the internet through webpages and videos.
We knew we needed to attract new users to the hall but to do so would mean working on our ‘digital footprint’. Whilst our village committee members are all keen and willing we all struggle with new stuff and as a charity we did not have the money to employ people to do this for us.

So, we were thrilled when we managed to persuade Will Fleming to volunteer to help us! Will is a Beech resident studying for his Diploma in Film and TV Production at South Downs College.

We are delighted to announce that we now have a new promotional video of Beech Village Hall and that the video was created by our very own local talent, Will Fleming!

The video is hosted on YouTube and can be seen on our webpage: https://www.beechvillage.org.uk/village-hall/

The video forms part of recent improvements to the Beech Village website, including more information about booking the hall, the ability to check online when the hall is available and what’s going on there, a special section on wedding receptions, and a guide to local suppliers who can provide catering, furniture, tableware, room decorations, flowers and photo booths for weddings and parties.
