Valentine’s Night 2015

February 17, 2015 by Ann Bishton

Fantastic food

Fantastic food

Beech Villagers enjoyed a romantic Valentines candlelit supper and  dancing at the village hall on Valentines night. Hosted by Nick Charman, the hall was suitably decorated with ample evidence of the occasion, with red hearts abounding and red candles burning in champagne bottles, although sadly their contents had already been consumed.

Getting set up

Getting set up

An excellent cold buffet was provided by Williams Catering of Lasham and a series of CDs produced by Paul Flemming provided suitable background music to eat by and then something of a livelier tempo to dance to.

No social evening at the village hall would be complete without a quiz or two and this occasion was no exception. Sarah Castle-Smith put together an excellent ‘Him and Her’ picture quiz in which party-goers had to pair well-known couples together and Sara Varo compiled an amusing ‘Mr. & Mrs.’ game requiring couples to disclose their secrets about each other.

All in all, another excellent evening at the village hall, which the enthusiasm  of the dancing indicated was much enjoyed by all.

It's a bit lonely in here - I wish they'd hurry up and come
