BG’s Visit to Fairbanks

We visited Fairbanks, the home of Mr and Mrs Robin Lees on Tuesday 2 September.  They are members of the National Gardens Scheme and made us very welcome.

The herbaceous borders were wonderful, as you see on the left, and the lawn seemed to go on for miles down the garden.

Further down there was a vegetable garden, see on the right.

At the end of the garden was a young orchard just waiting for a first crop – see picture below –

After strolling around the garden Mr and Mrs Lees served up tea and cake – wonderful on a beautiful sunny day in the depths of Hampshire!  What a lovely way to spend an afternoon – see picture below –

As you see we had quite a turn-out of BG members.
