A hardy group of 12 Beech Gardeners braved the cold and damp to visit Little Copse in Crawley, near Winchester, on March 2. Fortunately the rain held off just long enough for everyone to wander around the garden, enjoy the snowdrops, crocuses and hellebores, see the lovely view from the back field, say hello to the chickens, and buy some plants. During tea and cake, several of us took up Patricia Elkington’s kind offer of cuttings from her spectacular climbing geranium. The crocuses would have been much more spectacular if they had been illuminated by sunlight, but everyone still enjoyed this tranquil garden.
Kathy Pearce has put together another great year of garden visits and talks for the rest of 2022; details here.
