We are halfway through our summer program and the weather has been kind again this year.
On Mayday we visited The Vine, watching the speeded-up video of the scaffolding (all 43 miles of it) going up around the great house which was very entertaining, and the displays illustrating the major renovations were engrossing. Wandering through the reopened rooms and tea outside was a pleasant way to spend an afternoon
June was our return to Farley Hill Place Gardens where we were warmly received.
Our annual picnic this year was in Sally and Allen Leech’s lovely garden on a glorious afternoon. We talked so much, ate so much and laughed so much no-one took any photographs.
The August jaunt is to Colemore House, south of Alton. It’s a four-acre garden separated into distinct gardening themes.
September sees us on a luxury minibus visiting Greys Court and Nuffield House, both NT. Our attention after that will be the Beech Village Show on the 28th, hope you can join us.
