Beech Wine Society

The first wine evening of 2008 was held in March and was greatly enjoyed by the faithful band of followers and some new faces too!

We all appreciated Howard's choice of wines and probably expert commentary, well supported as he was by Lindsey and Luigi! The seafood that accompanied the wines was endless and memorable. As always, the efforts of the behind the scenes team enabled yet another great evening and our continued thanks go to them all (you know who you are).

Now that Howard has shown what can be done, we welcome offers from others more or less able, to choose the wines and set them up for us to sample. Come on, you know you can do it! Just let me know if you want to try it out.

Our next event has been slipped to July 4th so that we can focus on American wines, anyone guess why? It might be difficult to find some snacks to accompany the wines but all suggestions are welcome.

We will continue to simply book places for the evening and collect payment on the night although we were badly hit by the "bug" which took quite a few people out at the last minute. All we ask is that if you book a place, and then are unable to attend, please try to let us know by the preceding Wednesday so that we can cut back on the food and wine purchases.
